![]() How could Emma's attitude ever compare to the terrible venom of the creature in front of Taylor? How could Sofia's violence ever compare to the terrifying muscles on this snake's body, or it's glistening fangs?įaced with a real predator in just this moment they seemed like a horde of monkeys, throwing crap around and making themselves bigger than they were, all the while creatures like this, slithered trough the woods, not even finding them worthy of a meal, so assured of it's rule, that it didn't need to be loud. Her problems seemed so small in this moment. ![]() Taylor was mesmerized by the beauty of that stare, by the meaning behind it, but also by the fear she felt, faced with that stare. This snake did not need to step to bullying to be assured of itself. This animal was strong and dangerous and it knew that, was assured by it's strength alone. This was the animal that scared away Tigers from it's nest and whose venom even elephants feared.Īnd so it didn't need to challenge anyone, didn't need to prove anything. Who would dare to challenge it? It knew of it's power, the danger it represented to the primitive human mind and every animal that stumbled upon it's hiding spot. This animal stood at the top of the world. And still, Taylor could understand the intent behind those eyes. Taylor was transfixed by those eyes, so expressionless, so strange to a human, that was used to convey his feelings trough facial expression. The eyes were like amber, with a round black pupil, like an eclipse, just hinting at the secrets that laid beneath that stare, that one could get lost in. A hiss came from the open mouth of the beast, and it was so different from the already intimidating breathing, a loud, snarling sound, so threatening that Taylor took a step back, even in her spellbound state. The hood, around the neck extended, giving the snake an even bigger, even more intimidating appearance. Slowly, oh so very slowly the snake rouse from its perch and raised its head, that soon towered over Taylor and inspected her from above. It was a massive head, with a short snout and big, elongated scales like a symmetrical shield on the forehead and above the eyes. Slowly the animal raised its head from the curls of its body. Taylor could see the Snakes body move under its mighty, hissing breaths, that were easy to hear, even from across the room. The animal was of a soft, dark brown, that gained strength towards the back and became lighter on the underside. Every last bit of her sunny place was taken over by a truly colossal snake, resting in the warmth of Taylors room and the sun, that fell in from the window. ![]() ![]() Her eyes followed the flow of a long body, elegantly draped over her ratty carpet in countless rolls of massive muscles and shining scales. This school day had been such a bad one, without really going into detail, curling up sounded relatively great right about now.Įxcept that her place was already occupied. A lot of work would need to be done at the house, the roof, the heating and the insulation and thus one could not really call the Hebert household a warm one.Ī few steps away from the heat, when the sun stood at it's highest it fell directly below her window on a space in front of the heater, which made for quite a warm and nice place, that Taylor had liked to read on, when she had been younger, like some kind of cat, basking in the rays of the sun.Įven these days, after a particularly bad day at school she curled up there, sometimes crying, sometimes just to feel the sun's rays on her skin. Heating costs money and that was always quite lacking here. It was not particularly warm in the Hebert household. This Omake is dedicated to all the Snake people who lost to the flightless bird and the filthy mammals. I told you I would write about Taylor and her Snake, so here I am writing about Taylor and her Snake.
